Morphettville horseman Cody Reardon has again struck gold in the tried horse market with talented local galloper Karacasu.

Karacasu is the latest successful buy for the Inglis Digital platform, the former Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained galloper winning at just his second start since a stable switch at Morphettville last weekend.

Placed twice at Group 3 level as a two-year-old and at Listed level in Melbourne the following season, Karacasu had been winless for more than two years before turning things around for his new connections.

“He’s obviously a horse who can gallop,’’ Reardon said.

“It’s well known here in South Australia he was a good horse for the Jolly team.

“He went up online, we bided him up to the $10,000 reserve and no one touched him.

“We thought it was a steal, I know he’s highly-rated and they can be hard to place here in South Australia and I even said to Richard (Jolly) if I can’t win that back with him, I’d be pretty disappointed.

“The horse has been deep into a prep, to get a result is just brilliant,’’ he said.

Reardon will let the dust settle on Saturday’s win before plotting his next move, but is hoping the horse will be a good money spinner for his new owners going forward.

“He’s a nice horse and I’m excited to start fresh with him,’’ Reardon added.
