Microphone was the Group 1 winning son of Exceed and Excel including the Group 1 Sires. He won an exceptional 4 out of 6 as a 2-year-old, with the other two being close runner up, including the ultimate feature the Golden Slipper. Another example of finding excellent value in those horses mixing it with the best, where service fees would have otherwise tripled had they won rather than placed in those feature races. Microphone was a model of consistency also as a 3-year-old, including a win in another Group 2 feature the Autumn Stakes. Now sold to stand internationally, there won’t be too many opportunities left to secure a Microphone yearling.

Go Charlie Go, as mentioned, this is her first foal and whilst with room to grow he is a great size for a first foal. Whilst having a short racing career herself, Go Charlie Go is notably a half-sister to the very well performed Into the Red, a multiple Stakes winner of almost $500,000. The 2nd dam Red Sequin has been a fabulous producer, foaling 9 to race and 8 successfully as winners, including the already mentioned stakes winner. Looking further back, Sequita the 3rd dam was also a great producer of winners, having 7 out of 8 winners to runners and multiple stakes performers both in Australia and internationally.

A colt at a great price with a great pedigree with some international success. A real trainer’s horse, we really liked the way he paraded and were delighted to secure him at the price.
