Description

There is plenty of quality and a lot to like about this bay filly by the So You Think stallion, D’Argento. We have one in the stables from the Gold Coast who is impressing us in his second preparation, so were delighted to secure another at a great price from Adelaide.

A lovely blend of Danehill bloodlines with the addition of the High Chaparral influence through the Sadler’s Wells line.

D’Argento, a flashy grey who excelled in middle distance. Himself a dual winner at 2, this gives every confidence you won’t need to wait too long for this filly to hit the track. He is one of 11 individual G1 winners for his sire So You Think. ; particularly excelled as a 3-year-old, winning two features including the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas and defeating a quality field of four Group 1 winners. Whilst his wins were impressive, his placings were equally as notable, including a 3rd behind the legendary Winx in the G1 Winx Stakes and a 2nd to Hartnell in the Epsom Handicap. D’Argento also ran a tremendous 4th in a Doncaster as a 3-year-old when dropping back in distance after his Rosehill Guineas triumph. Out of a listed winning mare in Fullazz who has a perfect record of winners to runners is a ¾ winner to a dual stakes winner in Diamonds.

The dam, Where It Began was a winner herself over the short course and boasts a perfect record of 4 to race, 4 to win. Best credentialled to date is Beast Mode, a 6-time winner including 3 in succession. Interestingly, this is her first foal from a new sire, with all of her previous progeny being sired by Better Than Ready (by More than Ready) so intriguing to see the success of the new coupling. The 2nd and 3rd dam had an excellent record of winners to runners and their progeny have had plenty of winners and black type success both domestic and internationally. There is depth in this pedigree.

A filly with size, strength and poise who will head to the breakers early with potential for strong residual value.
